Environment > Architecture

Architecture has many forms, and the obvious solution is rarely the best solution. Regardless of the style of architecture however, there is always opportunity to benefit by taking environmental factors into consideration from the outset; not at a soft and meaningless level, but by genuinely ensuring the architecture relates to and enhances the environment.

A striking, contemporary design need not be at odds with a rural environment. Equally, a timber construction, living roof architectural style can be designed to sit comfortably in town centre and office locations.

Even if the architecture does not take its lead visually from the environment, it can still play an important role in the ecological impact of the design. Considering such issues early not only promotes better architecture, but may also lead to more cost effective solutions.
